In a statement issued from an unknown location, Baloch Khan, spokesman for Baloch Raji Ajoi Sanger (BRAS), claimed responsibility for the attack on Pakistani army personnel in Kolwah area of Kech. Pakistani army was targeted in Madag Kalat area while they were engaged in military operations.

The alliance of four militant groups, BLA, BRA, BLF and BRG, BRAS claimed responsibility for the attack, saying five Pakistani army personnel were killed and several wounded on the spot.

Baloch Khan added that the Pakistani army was attacked by Baloch fighters when the enemy forces were conducting an operation in Kolwah and wanted to detain women by attacking their houses.

The spokesman further stated that this is not the first time that the cowardly enemy army was trying to lay hands on Baloch women. Such incidents have been happening since day one but in recent years a serge has been observed in such incidents. Baloch fighters have been avoiding targeting civilians, especially women and children, in compliance with principles of war, but if the enemy continues the policy of targeting Baloch women and children then we will be prepared to take extreme steps to protect Baloch civilians.
