Baloch Pro-Independence leader Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch in a statement released recently, said, “Pakistani army has intensified the kidnappings and disappearances of Baloch students. Reason being Pakistan’s eternal lurking fear that even within its colonial and outdated educational system, Baloch students will gain knowledge and skills required to meet their national and ideological needs. While its outdated colonial educational system will fail to integrate them into a so-called and baseless national core of Pakistan. On the contrary, the Baloch students can achieve intellectual and ideological maturity required for Independence by studying in the same educational system, and seeing the injustices within the system.”
“This is the main reason that all the universities and schools of Balochistan are under the control of the army,” said Dr. Allah Nizar Baloch. “Balochistan University seems like a cantonment, where hundreds of troops are deployed. Baloch students are forced to study under the shadow and fear of military barbarism. We are deprived of our state and our education system. Baloch students while living with a sense of slavery and enduring all difficulties, should continue their studies within Pakistani colonial education with a view to achieve a brighter future and to gain a free Balochistan. Because we have to become a sublimated gold in the furnace of atrocities and barbarism. We need to shape the same repression as a weapon against the enemy.”
He said, “Whether Baloch students are studying in Balochistan or somewhere else, are going through a lot of hardships and facing barbarism. Besides military atrocities, they face various racial prejudices and discrimination. Despite these difficulties, students should realize that universities and campuses play a vital role in the struggle for independence. Students should strive for academic scholarship in foreign countries and become the voice of the Baloch nation. The incidents with the Baloch students in Islamabad and Punjab are still fresh in our mind. The administration’s treatment of the Baloch students; attacks on the Baloch by various organizations are clear examples of the fact that they do not tolerate the same outdated education for the Baloch nation.”
Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch said,” Before achieving independence, development in any sector is an illusion. This is a universal truth and no one can deny it, but like every slave nation, the Baloch can use education as a weapon to achieve their national independence and cover milestones of success and development. Therefore, I request to the Baloch students to gauge the intentions of the enemy and endure its barbarism by focusing quietly on your education. The day is not far when we will be breathing in our free land and the Baloch students will enhance their abilities according to the needs of the modern era, to play their role in different arenas in an independent Balochistan.”
