Major Gwahram Baloch Spokesperson, Balochistan Liberation Front Tribute to Captain Amjid Basham, also known as Shams Sahir, and Lieutenant Sabrullah Masoom,
On May 17, 2025, during an urban mission, senior members of the organization—Captain Amjid Basham alias Shams Sahir and Lieutenant Sabrullah Baloch alias Wahag Jan—launched an attack on the Pakistani army headquarters “Asghar Gate” in the central city of Turbat, Kech, at 7:00 AM. They used grenade launchers, which hit the target precisely, resulting in the death of one enemy personnel and woundings to two others.
Following the operation, both comrades attempted to withdraw, but the state forces deployed surveillance drones to track them. The enemy forces blocked the escape route, which led to an armed confrontation. In a clash that lasted for about ten minutes, two enemy personnel were eliminated and one was wounded. However, Captain Amjid Basham and Lieutenant Sabrullah embraced martyrdom during the firefight.
Martyr Amjid Basham Baloch held the rank of Captain, and Martyr Sabrullah Baloch was a Lieutenant. The Balochistan Liberation Front pays heartfelt tribute to these brave comrades and reaffirms its commitment to fulfill the mission of the martyrs through the pursuit of national liberation and the establishment of a free Balochistan, regardless of the sacrifices required.
Amjid Basham Baloch was a talented, politically mature, and deeply conscious young man. He possessed a rare and dignified blend of leadership, vision, and devotion to national service. With his academic excellence and traditional as well as professional education, he could have easily chosen a comfortable and secure life. But Amjid rejected ease and chose the difficult path of resistance for the freedom and dignity of the homeland.
Even during his student life, Amjid displayed firm ideological thinking and leadership qualities, which earned him popularity among students and the public in Turbat. In 2017, he formally joined the armed struggle and became actively involved in resistance operations against the enemy.
On January 27, 2017, Pakistani forces forcibly disappeared him along with his brother, Barkat Basham. During the 18 months of disappearance, Amjid endured severe physical and mental torture. Yet, his spirit remained unbroken. When he was released on July 29, 2018, his body bore the marks of brutality, but his heart was free from fear. Without hesitation, he rejoined the freedom movement and resumed his role on the ground.
After his release, he continued organizing resistance activities in the city. In May 2022, during a mission, he was surrounded by state forces. But with bravery, military skill, and fearlessness, he broke the siege and successfully escaped.
He was in the final semester of his BS in Computer Science at Turbat University and also taught English and computer skills at a private academy. His life was a complete chapter of awareness, national service, sacrifice, and courage.
Martyr Sabrullah Baloch was a quiet, determined, and steadfast comrade. He joined the Baloch National Movement at a young age and formally became part of the organization in 2021. He quickly took on active roles in organizational and public networks. His capabilities, seriousness, and understanding of the organization earned him trust, and he was soon entrusted with operational and confidential responsibilities.
In 2023, he came under the radar of state forces and faced serious threats. Rather than backing down or remaining silent, Sabrullah chose the path of resistance. He transitioned from public activism to armed resistance and began performing front-line combat duties. He was involved in highly secretive and complex missions, continuously evading the enemy and staying active in various areas.
Sabrullah was tireless and resolute. He never sought personal fame or recognition but remained committed to the cause of freedom and the truth of the ideology. He continued his struggle with unwavering determination until his final breath.
With the martyrdom of these comrades, the organization has lost two brave and dedicated individuals. However, their sacrifice is a shining beacon in our struggle—one that will continue to guide future generations.
