Central Spokesperson of Baloch National Movement says in statement That From Karak-e-Dal, Gichk District Panjgur, Balochistan on 25 April 2022, the Pakistan Army arrested Shah Bibi d/o Sohrab, mother of Saleh s/o Haroon, his sister-in-law, Shazadi d/o Abdul Rehman, an elderly man, Abdul Rehman, father of Shazadi and their other family members. We are concerned about their lives and health and want their immediate release.
The state may dislike someone but the enforced disappearance of any human being is unacceptable and against humanity. The cases of enforced disappearances are increasing with every single day. In the past, political activists and those associated with the struggle of independence were targeted, but now their families are being forcibly disappeared.
Saleh’s father Haroon was previously arrested and tortured. His health condition has deteriorated due to inhuman torture. The Pakistan Army is putting pressure on the family to hand over Saleh to the Pakistan Army.
The Pakistani military’s repression of the Baloch people is not a response to a particular incident but it seeks complete occupation of Balochistan’s land and society. However, after a particular incident, it seizes the opportunity to act more vigorously on her pre-determined goals so that the people of Punjab can be deceived and satisfied.
Baloch students were targeted in Islamabad and Lahore after self-sacrificing (Fidayi) attack by Shari Baloch in Karachi. Targeting Bebagr Imdad and other Students is well planned pretext to deprive the Baloch nation of its intelligentsia, as the Pakistani military has already done in Bangladesh.
The Baloch National Movement will not remain silent against the oppression of the state of Pakistan. Including, the UN bodies letters will be written to other relevant human rights organizations. Baloch National Movement will continuously write letters to these organisations on the silence of the international community.
