The numbers of enforced disappearances of civilians in Balochistan by Pakistan is intensely increasing day by day. BSO-Azad
The Central Spokesperson of Baloch Students Organization Azad in his statement on the International Day of Enforced Disappearances stated that from the first day of forceful annexation of Balochistan, Pakistan has been using different tactics in order to eradicate Baloch national identity. The number of forcefully abducted Baloch civilians specially youth is increasing intensely day by day, thousands of Baloch youth, women and children have been forcefully abducted and are in Pakistani torture cells. In last three years, the mutilated dead bodies of over three thousand abducted people have been thrown away.
He further stated that the workers of BSO-Azad who believe in peaceful, democratic and political struggle are not safe from state atrocities, until now hundreds of workers of BSO-Azad have been forcefully abducted and the mutilated dead bodies of dozens have been thrown away. These include the Central Secretary General martyr Comrade Raza Jehangir Baloch, Central Joint Secretary Comrade Shafi Baloch, members of central committee Shaheed Comrade Qayoom Baloch and Shaheed Comrade Qambar Chakar Baloch, Shaheed Shakoor, Kamal Baloch, Yusuf Nazar, Yasir Nasir, Rasool Jan, Fida Baloch, Daulat Baloch, Mairaj, Farhad, Shaheed WaheedBalach, Latif Baloch, Kaleem Baloch,Hanif Baloch, Raziq Baloch, Shahnawaz, Ejaz Baloch, Majid Baloch and et al. Whereas many workers have been forcefully abducted and kept in Pakistani torture cells where they are subject to inhuman torture, these include the organization's Ex Central Chairman Zahid Baloch, Ex-vice Chairman Zakir Majeed Baloch, Zonal leaders Irshad Baloch, Mushtaq Baloch, Sami Mengal, Imran Qalandrani, Aftab Baloch, Aurangzaib Baloch, Wasim Baloch, Ateeq Baloch and Asif Baloch.
BSO-Azad has exhausted all legal and democratic steps, and used peaceful ways to organize protests for the safe recovery of its workers and other innocents who have been forcefully taken away. This also includes Central Committee member Lateef Johar Baloch's 46 day long historic hunger strike against the forceful abduction of Chairman Zahid Baloch. Other than these, protests against forceful disappearances have been conducted throughout Balochistan as well as in other foreign countries. He said that BSO-Azad has informed and provided details to Amnesty International, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Asian Human Rights Commission and other human rights organizations about the forceful abductions of Chairman Zahid Baloch, Zakir Majeed Baloch and other workers at the hands of Pakistani Intelligence agencies. Amnesty International, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Asian Human Rights Commission have raised their concerns in relation to the abduction of Chairman Zahid Baloch and other abducted political workers and given their assurances but such assurances have turned out to be nothing more than words, whereas on international level there is a complete silence regarding these abductions till date.
The Spokesperson further said that as long as the oppressed nations are being exploited and human rights violations are committed, the dream of everlasting world peace cannot be achieved. BSO-Azad said that the way in which thousands of Baloch are being forcefully abducted throughout Balochistan and the way in which their mutilated dead bodies are dumped signifies as a black mark on the face of humanity in today's age.
Considering these issues, it is the responsibility of International organizations to take notice of Pakistani state atrocities that are being committed against the Baloch Nation and to take all the necessary steps for a peaceful solution of Balochistan’s National issue.
